Soldier Changes
(minor nerf) Soldier's H.E Shot Launcher is replaced with Adrenaline Shot. We decided to save that power for one of our DLC Characters.
(minor buff) Choosing Soldier Class will now grant additional ammunition, but will set barracks drop rate to 80%.
Reason for this: Getting the ammo in the early game is pretty important, and many newbies are failing to realize this, so we're simply letting them start off with it by recommending it to them. To keep Soldier balanced, we're giving him Adrenaline Shot instead (it's not as effective as HE launcher for sure).
Noble Changes
Noble's Adrenaline Shot is replaced with Complain. Complain costs 0 stamina when active, will reduce the caster's barricade and health damage taken by 50%. However, he won't attack or reload his weapon. You can click on the power button again to turn off Complain.
Reason: Adrenaline Shot never thematically really fit Noble, so after we gave that power to Soldier, it left us wanting to ensure that the powers of these captains were all unique (except for you know what).
Others
(minor nerf) Each shot from any weapon will calculate accuracy based on current enemy x position instead of having the accuracy finalised at the beginning of any weapon fire.
== Game Improvements ==
- Improved weapon and enemy description for the Dossiers.
- Improved how the taunt ability targets enemies. Now it will not select enemies that are already inside the caster's lane.
- Improved tile highlights during battle:
- Tiles will now highlight green whenever the targeting templates touch any affected enemies.
- Taunt will now highlight areas where the taunt ability cannot affect enemies that are already in the caster's lane.
- Added a function to the spreadsheet where if you click anywhere on the screen while it's open, the spreadsheet will retract.
- We have redesigned Diablo Click for better functionality:
- Diablo click will now target the enemy with the lowest HP.
- Diablo Click will now decide for you whether fire or double fire is better to hit against the clicked on enemy.
- If the player has yet to select a guard, diablo click will now target guards arming pistols first before any others.
- Increased Combat Menu growth/shrink rate.
- Tidied up the fly text for better readability.
- Fixed a bug where "Saving on Same Day" function wasn't properly working as intended.
- Fixed a bug where all current buffs appear inactive by the buff user once the buff duration ends for one of them.
- Fixed a bug where the mall SP Bonus didn't affect non-combat working surviviors.
- Fixed a bug where WAX CHANCE resets to 15% when you refresh the game after you did at least 1 wax removal attempt (before signing your name).
- Fixed a bug where Vibrobarrier could absorb all damage when an enemy attack would destroy the barricade in full and the remaining damage goes to the survivor.
- Fixed some spelling and programming errors on Max Carey 1.
- Fixed some word errors in some tutorials.
- Fixed a particular spawn group where the game spawned less enemies than intended.
- Fixed a bug in tutorial where dialogue gets skipped during non-dialogue phases by pressing the space bar.
- Fixed the json for battle tutorial where Terra's response to Larissa about reloading was accidentally included in Beatrice's explanation about reloading.
- Fixed a bug where powers that target all enemies highlight tiles where dead enemies used to be.
Overall, the patch adds some convenience for returning players, extra clarity/transparency for newcomers, and polish for everyone.

ReplyDeleteI am the only one to find that fight have a balance issue? 2 fight on 3 I am against 2 T-Rooster + 3/4 mob and rarely meet zombie or rats and often to face 2 vague. You can't survive if every fight you have to survive against near 10 boss level monster. Make them weaker or make the weapon more powerfull.....

Sorry man, but these guys have a real hate on for us casual gamers. The only advice I can give you is to get better, because they're more likely to nerf the weapons than buff (they actually recently did this)
DeleteHow can I get better when I get 2 shot by monsterand can't kill them before the massacre my character? The T-rooster made 75 dommage. So I choose to kill the dino-chicken and getting slaught by the louie or i kill louies and i get behead by the T-rooster?

DeleteThese guys are just being greedy. They want you to spend more money if you're having a hard time, kinda like those mobile games people get addicted to. Of course, this isn't a mobile game, and there is little to purchase that has any sort of lasting effect. It's overall a failed project in my opinion, and if they listen to us before hell freezes over, I'll be surprised.
DeleteLoving the new patch but ammo is still way to scarce you didnt even need to let the soldier class start with more ammo, why not just make the barracks easier or let soldier class pick up more ammo from the barracks because once you spend that initial boost in ammo you're back to pre-patch ammo situation. How are you supposed to make it to day 28 with stella without a steady supply of ammo incoming??
ReplyDeleteAs others have stated numerous times, I would really appreciate an easier difficulty. I know you guys put a lot of work into this combat system, but it really is just frustrating. When I backed this project I thought it would be more in line with the previous two. I didn't read into a lot due to wanting to experience it without ruining story aspects. If I want a challenge, I'll go play XCOM Long War. I'm here for humorous story content and the porn.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestions for an easy mode:
1.) Allow save scumming.
2.) Higher frequency of lesser mobs and lower frequency of tough ones and/or more weapon damage/ammo.
3.) Make it so attacks don't always occur. A little breather would be an extremely welcome thing if only to save time.
Down the line you can add in some rewards for people who stick with your view of the game. Lock some scenes behind the hard mode of it, unlock a new character by beating it, ect.
Seconded. I have no idea why he/they have so much against an easy mode. The other games aren't hard, they still feel rewarding when you beat them.

ReplyDeleteThey say conserve ammo by using pistols against weak enemies, except sometimes with the weaker characters you hardly get above 50% accuracy...
DeleteAnd also raid the ammo place when it is less than +4 difficulty, except that the lowest I have seen it is +7... Or perhaps RNG hates me :(
It would help a lot to have some sort of way to know what enemies are coming out, so that we would know which characters and what weapons to bring on guard duty, instead of getting 5 stegos and 3 mooses with no shield disruptor and only 1 shotgun
A great suggestion to make would be one of the following:

a) Nerf the damage. This has been said alot, but seriously, with the severe lack of health and the dismal repairs done to the barricade, this would be the best option.
or
b) With regards to the above severe health, it would be nice to heal more, especially when using Veronica. At least let her heal the same amount Tera does for SP while cooking. Its sad to see more than half my characters have less than 50% hp after day 20.
c) Make your survivor's kit cheaper. 10000+ tokens is about $100+++. It costs as much as the Starcraft Collector's Edition! I'd say a fair price would be the same amount as for all the girls.
Hope you guys take this into account!

DeleteI agree with you, I do. But they don't like us very much. If they nerf something, they'll buff something else to 'achieve balance' to their 'perfect project'. Their Newbie-Friendly patch is a mockery, and their selling point is Pay To Win. Good luck.
Or if they are so insistent on us paying, they should make at least the ammo more worth it. I mean 50 coins for 5 magnum shots??? Thats only gonna last 1 round!
Deletea) Damage isn't being nerfed because it's nearly to the point of possible maximum surplus. If the damage was nerfed, a good player can possibly accrue resources to the point that he is gaining rather than losing. (which is why using MAD on ~day 2 is so good, it "incentivizes the work force".
Deleteb)Veronica and Olga both have 100 in their fields, but Olga can actually heal 100, and V can only do 40. The extreme difference is easily identifiable and forces the player to prioritize different resources. If they all healed the same, there would be no strategy to it. The healing rate at the moment is indeed abysmal, but it is not pointless to heal either.
c) Well, it was $100 because it was a backer reward... but I feel that we would be ripping off those that backed us because it shows them that they get no value for backing us. No value is...acceptable. Negative value is bad, heh. Still, you raise a fair point, so instead of discounting the item, we've made it more effective.
As for the mockery comment, we have come to the realization (lol) that it may be a tad (lol) too hard. A temporary balance patch is coming soon.
Just saying, the ultimate survivor's kit was somewhat intentionally expensive though. The problem is when people actually started buying it. Here's a thought process:
DeleteLet's say we added another kit: The ultimate survivor addon kit. Cost $300. Your damage is further reduced 5%.
We're not going to actually add the kit in the game, but it shows you that the values of items need not be equally valuable. The player need not buy the items.
If I had the money, I wouldn't sell those type of items at all, but we are not in a position to refuse money. If this game had easy mode, it would probably sell more than a hard game with microtransactions, but I do not want to sell out.

I have another point to raise up non gameplay-related. The reset button is horrendously near the mouse after you click on options. Any way to change its location far far away? As well as add an "are you sure" option? Thats how I accidentally reset my AD2. I miss my Carmen scenes :'(

DeleteHey guys, loving the game so far. I am stuck between day 17 and 22, doing Veronica's story (cuz she fine :P). I think I am at the last mission where I need 33 strength to proceed (tip: if you don't your captain will be incapacitated). Well thats at least 10 more days sadly. But I'm not here to rant.

ReplyDeleteTo those complaining about P2W, there are literally stories that are easy to complete. Olga Story is one of them, and she even has a hentai scene shown earlier than other girls too (Not to mention that story is free)! Don't forget that robot chick who almost doesn't have any requirements that most girl stories have. Maybe at least try completing those stories before moaning more.

ReplyDeletePlease find a way to make ammo drops rates better I been trying to conserve ammo but the barracks makes it much more difficulty to conserve my ammo when I am not getting enough from the drops after waves of enemies.
