if she's wearing knee-pads and a baseball cap anyways, maybe give her skates or a board of some sort. hover blades? lev-board? She looks like a delivery girl. And with all those devices, how is she going to read-out any data from them? H.U.D. shades?
Also, you really think anyone a hundred years from now will know what USB is? Remember D-subs? they had an extraordinarily long run for a peripheral standard - almost 40 years. but almost nobody remembers what they are
Would have thought she'd be a glasses girl. Ah well. But I always do love the Science/Tech girls in settings like that.
I like the new face type. I'd say stick with it, least for this girl. I wouldn't add too many more items to the character. I think it might make the design feel cluttered, if you know what I mean. So go for a straight swap out.
Like how despite being the Tech Girl it shows she has a thing for the past. The cap, the shotgun shells, USB tattoo.
Think the keyboard might look better as a handheld device though instead of strapped to the wrist. Just seems a bit weird because then she could only type with one hand and the keyboard doesn't look quite right there. I dunno. Maybe have it in a holder of some sort. I think the arm is the right location. Just maybe not as a bracer. I dunno. I'm thinking sorta like a policeman's radio. Clipped onto them so they don't have to hold it and carry it around all the time necessarily but they can yank it off if they need to. Maybe I'm thinking too much about it.
Overall I like how it's going. It is quite different from the other games. And I'm really looking forward to seeing her in game and playing through her storyline. Think it's a good choice of apparel there. Not overtly sexual but it seems she's got a good bit of confidence in her.
Maybe you could make the wrist mounted keyboard like a mini laptop so most of the time when you draw her flap could be down or up and in the way of the keyboard; it looks like it would be a pain to draw that over and over.
The weird looking underwear is a little too weird for me.
I'm not done with the Frei Update. I'm working simultaneously on AD3 and AD2. After FreiXSanza, I have at about two more big updates to do.
After that, I'll focus on the voice acting stuff and getting the game to a wider audience, rather than just people who've played AD1 through technical means like making the game "smaller" to fit on other sites, and then yeah, direct download.
Now to Elaine... The sk8er pads are actually used in the military. People slide around the floor in the same fashion as skaters, but I'd guess that these pads have ceramic plates in them as getting shot in the knee would be fatal.
As for the keyboard: http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-06/mgs4-johnny.html That's pretty much where I got the idea.
I accidentally cut out her projection visor, which looks a lot like: http://images.wikia.com/masseffect/images/d/df/Visor.png There's a few methods of data output we can use, such as today's projection tech which shoots your screen onto a wall, then there's the one in the pic where it just shoots it into thin air some how, or putting the over screen over the eye like an eyepatch...But so far I'm thinking about having a funky contact lens that makes her eye look all techy. Could be kinky. We could go the 3d holograph route, but it's my guess that holographs are only useful in certain situations like viewing a model of a starship, and not in everyday situations like reading your email, heh.
The USB design is there because it looks neat on her arm I think, but maybe the smiley face AND the USB is too much.
Legs are skinny because she has skinny legs. They're definitely skinnier than any of the legs in AD2. I'll fit in a wider legged girl later. Yeah she's suppose to be a bit young too, I'm thinking of shortening her a bit.
If anyone here can think of something better than a smiley face logo on the hat, please do tell.
Just my opinions: Would prefer the visor instead of the contacts. You could try sticking the company/military logo or a fictional brand name on the cap. Yup, make her a little shorter since I've never seen you illustrated unrealistic big breasted lolis you before. Oh, and breast size not explosive enough yet :D
Well, not to extent I see in other Hentai. He hasn't gone for the boobs the size of basketballs and larger yet. But yeah, variety, spice of life. There's always gonna be some girls you don't like, and some you do. I doubt he's going to drop all signs of any type of girl.
I like the design except the underwear. It's a little weird and I can't possibly imagine seeing the entire thing. I suggest cutting the bottom part so to look like a legband or something along those lines. It's just a suggestion if you really dont want to get rid of it...
Getting a shitload of opinions was pretty cool, I plan on consulting with yall whenever I do a new character design.
Apart from making her a bit skinnier (which I forgot to do...aheh!) This time around I want to do my own tinkering with body proportions and make sure that we get a *better* range of breast sizes and body types, so I probably won't accept proportion suggestions.
Unless 10 of us were like "she'd look way better with big tits yknow"

Maybe she is an ancient user of old styled machinery?
ReplyDeleteAlso, for the keyboard, maybe make it a keypad? You know those crazy kids and their cellphones.
Also, since this is future stuff, maybe make it something out of the matrix or tron? Just a suggestion though, I like your design though.
Would have thought she'd be a glasses girl. Ah well. But I always do love the Science/Tech girls in settings like that.

So You are done with the Frei update and moving on to AD3?

I actually like the skinny legs, oddly enough. Think that, the face, the hair, gives her a more youthful look.

The USB and Smiley don't bother me. I underwear is weird where it's showing below the shorts but otherwise it looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteI think the smiley face hat works fine. It's a nice, clean design.
ReplyDeleteShe should have the ;) face on her head or XD
ReplyDeleteJust my opinions:

Maybe turn the smiley into a parody of some company's emblem? Like make it into a windows parody but call it "mirrors"; or turn it into a orange.
ReplyDeleteEither way, I approve.
for some reason, she almost has a field-journalist or guerrilla-blogger look to her. What about a camera lens or news station logo on the hat?
ReplyDeleteI don't know, its hard to comment on the character with just a picture. do you have a background planned out for her yet?
Now if he gave that away he'd be giving away key story information.
ReplyDeleteBigger boobs and skinnier waist please.
ReplyDeleteSure, because we don't have enough comically top heavy girls in the AD series.
ReplyDeleteWell, not to extent I see in other Hentai. He hasn't gone for the boobs the size of basketballs and larger yet. But yeah, variety, spice of life. There's always gonna be some girls you don't like, and some you do. I doubt he's going to drop all signs of any type of girl.
