The expansion works, and you can play it right now. It just won't save to your room for some reason, and I'm working to fix this. Until then, you will just have to use your real life memory skills instead of relying on Player's photographic memory (lol)

I'm assuming it's exactly when you click "Visit Frei".
(sigh) It might have something to do with Flash Player being updated all around the board very recently.
Since I can't replicate the problem, I'll admit I don't even have the capacity to fix the problem. A single pixel?... That doesn't even make sense. If you're able to see the flash file at all, then clicking "Visit Frei" should be no different than going anywhere else in the game, and should not make your game into a pixel.
There's also the possibility that you're lieing to me, and the two anonymouses complaining about it is the same person trying to stress me out. If it's a real problem, and an actual widespread problem, please post in the Official Bug List thread at rosewoodgames.com so you can't have anonymity.
Anyways, gonna go fix the save data problem first.

Correction, Firefox works.
Dunno why I didn't work first.
In Chrome, I got the picture of Frei and the back ground, with a single period in the text display and no ability to advance.

The game is currently under testing. Whenever you see a bunch of red boxes on the left side, it means I'm testing it. Embarrassingly I do have to test it live instead of privately because of the way it's coded, hehe.

I'd pay more to get new (catherine?) or some of the old chars (nistala, sarah, aelwyn for ex?) missions/stories into the game. Detailed and fun, just like jeanne/talia/beatrice's stories.
On charging for DLC, that's something we'll have to consider for 3. Would consumers rather pay for a game all upfront for $20, or have consumers segregated by price point, they can have the main meat of the game for 10, but maybe they want "more for less", as in just one character for 5 dollars as an expansion dlc.
ReplyDeleteA good payment plan for 3 would probably be to charge 5$ per character, but give you the whole cast for 10 or 15 bucks. 5 dollars is a small price to pay so it's considered not risky, as a means to gain trust with the consumer. That's opening day pricing. Later down the road, Extra paid for DLC is a little tricky, because 1. People don't like hassling with the payment stuff, so making them repay is a definite barrier, and 2. People have gotten it for free in ad2, so why not free in ad3?
If I decided next year to make a paid expansion to AD2, would you buy it? What if it was only loosely connected hentai scenes, at 5 dollars? What if it was ten dollars for only 50% more of the same game you bought last year?
Getting back to your comment, yeah it's like a botsu disc. As long as you're trying to play this one on Normal, this expansion is actually pretty difficult in terms of gameplay, but I understand the lack of story. The game engine in it's current state could not handle anymore story, but that's besides the point that the fans mostly want hentai scenes of characters over everything else, so I'd rather make 3 hentai scenes than one character's story and a hentai scene.

Well its a pretty entertaining and somewhat deep game with unique artworks which totally worth my 10 bucks altogether.
Charging 20 may be a bit steep but we'll see...
Hope to see some returning characters in ADS3, and cool missions/stories or action/fighter-themed gameplay :P
