Hi Michael,
The general consensus from the guys who work here is when you have a
game set in the future and weapons that are 50-100 years old it just
seems unrealistic. Not that we have not used similar technology for the
last hundred years but when space travel is that common, weapon
technology has to be farther advanced.
The benefit is you can create your own firearms, but please feel free to
come in an pick our sales guys brains if you have some more detailed
questions.
Thank you,
Nick

I am working on a video game and need assistance finding the right guns for my survivors. We're on a space station that's being invaded by symbiotic aliens. These aliens take the form of controlled Humans (zombies), human babies, thick skinned t-rex's, and large flying bats. The space station is not militaristic, so scavenging for guns should be difficult. I don't want the guns to be just perfect for the situation, and having a hectic reload time would be awesome.

What simple type of modifications could you make to these weapons without any real gunsmithing tools? (like taping a butcher knife bayonet to a shotgun?)

It's cool that you're researching weapons, but I don't think you should worry about it that much. Just make stuff up that sounds reasonably plausible and it will be fine.
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side, you now have a lot of freedom in making up technologies and weird names for your weapons and tech.
ReplyDeleteExamples:
- Photon Incapacitator
- Shockbolt Rifle
- Weed-Whacker Pistol
- Particle Dispersion Grenade
- Alternating-Wave-Burst Gun
- W.I.M.P Cannon
Weed-Whacker pistol? I could sure use a Caffeine Dart Pistol. I really do like the alternating wave burst gun though.
