  1. Take a breather once in a while man, working while finding it hard to concentrate is a tough task :P

  2. Has the project gone into hiatus again? I really don't want to pressure you, but offbeatr updates once in a while would be appreciated, maybe just percentage markers to show us how it's going.

    1. As a backer, I second that. Would love to hear from you man.

  3. Something would be appreciated...I've done commission work, I know it can be draining at times. But backers have pledged their funds and support for a finished, quality product. A product that, in this case, is already months over due.

  4. Have to say I agree. I understand many backers have said that they are okay with waiting, but it does strike me as unprofessional to go so long without even signs of life.

  5. I think we should give the man some space. This game is a passion for the man and less a source of income. If we want to see a quality product produced, we should approach this from the perspective of a patron of the arts rather than a capital investor. Meaning to say, let inspiration & passion guide him and it will be finished when it's finished.

  6. The project isn't on hiatus. It's still being worked on. Programmer is working on combat engine, so when he's a bit further on it, we can show you some of that. As for me, I only have writing to finish up on, and then all of the necessary parts of the game will be finished. After that, I can continue adding extra stuff (fleshing out weak parts of the game) while the combat engine is being worked on.

It's a work of passion, sure, but it's also a business because there is money involved. The backers should be updated, but there hasn't been much to visually show, so I haven't bothered to do so...and I don't want to spoil anything.

I apologize for the delays. I personally want this game to finish more than anyone else, and it's driving me crazy. At least I think you guys'll enjoy it when it's out.

  7. Thankyou for the update. Just a little sign of life and little updates is all we are after. Looking forward to the finished product. Do you have a estimate of release?

    Thanks

  11. You are rarely updating this blog anymore lovesworder. I just had a look back at your posts from years back and they were so informative and even humorous. And frequent.
What has changed? This is where we all come for info and yet you rarely give out any, your posts are getting worse and less frequent as time goes on. Are you losing interest and drive in your projects? i hope not as im eager for your finished project.
I check this blog daily and theres hardly ever any updates. Your going to lose your fan base if this keeps up.

    1. I can't give a full reply to this question, because doing so would be potentially harmful.

I'm still working on the game. I am eager (and desperate!) to finish. I might start updating the blog again soon, but most of it will just be spoilerific content.

    2. Dude, even a simple post like this would keep your fans going.

  12. I don't want to sound rude, but leave the guy alone. It will be ready when it is complete. Could Lovesworder be more forthcoming with updates? Sure, but I would rather him work on the game than spend time telling me what he just did.

    1. Neither I want to be the Devil's advocate, but this is not a free project, it was funded, and six months of delays AND silence are not acceptable to some people.

I think people asking for updates at least weekly is not a lot to ask, neither it is wondering what is going on and why the delays.

The key difference between a free project (even if later you have to buy it) and an already funded one, is that you are already compromised to certain dates and results.

Your intent to cover lovesworder honors you, but desiring results is just natural.

    2. I'm truly sorry about being an ass, Lovesworder, just wanted to say that.

  13. There is only one answer to the lack of updates for this FUNDED game. It is Low
Attention Span. I am trying not to be brutal but, many people in this current generation of ours have developed low attention span thus making them less efficient in many areas including studying, working, or even face to face conversations simply because they lose interest in it quickly or they multi-task.

    1. People need to quit saying it's a generational thing because it's ignorant and misleading. The more you have going on around someone, the more likely they are to be distracted, full stop, and that cuts across age groups. The media needs to quit talking about attention spans until they're willing to actually provide the full context the results are gleaned from. Attention span is contextual, not static.

    2. It took Michelangelo 4 years to complete the Sistine Chapel. I can wait for the game.

  14. On another note, is something going on with the wiki? Everything seems to be blank.

  15. Still believe in you and this project! I'm sure everyone would love an update. But take your time getting the game done. I can understand it taking a while. Wish you the best of luck :D

  16. Don't stress at all man.Take your time to finish your project cause you deliver nothing less then the best. Now you might deliver a lil bit too late but you deliver :P
My only suggestion is to make an update once or twice per month.A more ''in your face'' update and let people know the direction you are heading with the game.Daily updates are energy draining and imo unessecery.Waiting patiently for your amazing game bro, keep up the good work.

  18. I apologize to ask but can you tell us what happened to the wiki? The walkthroughs and what not are gone.

  19. So I haven't checked in on this in awhile. But I was checking out offbeatr first to see how things were, apparently in my profile, it didn't have this listed in my account as having supported/paid for... So I dug through my account a bit more and apparently now offbeatr requires people to take pictures of ID and a photo of themselves holding the ID in order to be approved. Seems over the top to me.

I'm imagining this is going to have ramifications for those completely unaware since I just now found out about this myself.

    1. for sure? It didn't ask me to have that when I pledged for tactics elemental, and my previous pledges are perfectly fine.

      contact them just in case.

  20. Why should you apologise for asking about the wiki? People seem to be tip toeing around lovesworder now, he isnt going to bite your head off. however he will probably ignore most of what you say.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Well I hope he does answer at some point. Chances are he is screwed financially. We can all understand this. Money is tight and that's just the way it is. So lovesword if that is the case we understand and also understand you probably wont say that but we hope you will get back to your projects at some point. And also. Have fun. That's what its all about. Have fun.

  22. Can we have an update of where the game is at please?

Just some info about the development game and how close you are to finishing. Im looking forward to this project and i thank you for your efforts. However alot of your posts are just diary entries about your day. Just tell us about the game, quick and easy.

    2. I desperately want to finish this game. There are other things I could be saying, but I don't think it would be a good idea to say. All I can really say is that I'm trying.

I still sit in this room, and I still stare at this word document.

    3. is it close to being finish?

  23. You're like the George RR Martin of hentai flash games.

  24. Just wanted to post that there are some of us okay with waiting for the release if it means a higher quality game. It sounds like you are still working on the game which is all we can ask for. Keep up the good work dude!

  25. It sounds like? Why arent we getting any info? it sounds like nothing is happening because thats what updates we get. Zero.

Rather than giving us witty little retorts can you just answer our questions please. How close are you to being finished? This year?
If this was a private little project then sure, take your time and keep tight lipped about it. But this game isnt, people have already invested money into this for you. We all need more info mate. Obviously we wouldnt be asking if we didnt want to buy the finished product, so i dont think its too much to ask.

    1. -Why aren't we getting any info?
That's a good and direct question that I haven't been willing to answer. I am sorry that I must commit to silence, and I am sorry for the confusion it is causing, such as your post. No witty retort. I refuse to answer the question directly, but I do look forward to posting an update.

-How close are you to being finished? -This year?
"This year" would be an accurate estimate. I can't elaborate without tripping into the first question.

    2. Not the same anon, but that's enough of an answer to satisfy me. I want the game to be the best it can be, so just keep on doing your thing, man.

  26. Waiting with the release until the product is good is of course the correct thing to do, and I don't think anyone is questioning that. The problem here is that there are a lot of people who have used their own money to back this project, and as of now it has gone over 2 months without a single update.

Not having the release date pin-pointed because of unknown factors is fine, but a ball park estimate is surely manageable. 2 months? 1 year?

I'm a fan of your work, and have enjoyed even the tiniest updates just to know things are being done. The comments you have delivered in the last two months are frankly worthless.

I look forward to a new update, and if you are having problems personally, socially or in any other way, telling it like it is would be preferable to cryptic comments on a soon-to-be 50-comment post.

  27. Just like many others I'd like to hear how things are honestly going. I'm sure the majority of us backers understands that making a game basically all by yourself takes surprisingly much time and effort and don't really care about some extending in the release date as long as you're being open about it.
