Hey. I'm not crazy.
(nods slowly) Yes, I went in for some kookoo diagnostics. He's totally cool with the lifestyle. I sit here and draw hentai all day. It's a totally sane thing to do. Then I told him I wanted Adderall- it's a drug for students that are trying to cram on tests. He prescribed me some. I popped two pills and I've been very productive. I can stay up 21 hours straight without even trying... Yeah and I've got a party to go to in 3 hours, so I'm going to try to get some sleep.
As for the pic, she's got a snake tongue. I've put a LOT of work into it, and there's a ton of animations that I'm about to put in for it. Question for you: Do you like the green skin? If not, is it because you aren't sexually attracted to colored people in general or do you just not like green? Is the tongue okay?
Maybe not necessarily the shade of green, but I'm just being nitpicky. Overall I really like the work you've done on her. She's easily one of my favorites so far. And yes, the tongue is great.
ReplyDeleteI'm diggin the tongue. I've never been much of a fan of things that arn't.. human (Furry's and all that, which I know she isn't). But she's close enough that it's fine for me and the shade of green you used almost makes her look ebony. Which may or may not of been what you wanted. But yeah, great work as always.

ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm glad you're not crazy, and be careful with the Adderall. I don't mean to sound patronizing, but that stuff can get to you if you're not careful.
Not crazy dude, just be careful you don't over do it on the Adderall. Had a buddy who was taking it to try to cram for law school. Stayed up for a week straight and had a mental break down. Get sleep after the part.

ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about drugs but please remember that even though you might feel good and rested, you might still actually be really tired and it might affect how well you're drawing and thinking.

Need a woman's opinion on the Captain. I actually think that females gravitate towards slightly angry/confident as their favorite emotion on a guy.

And don't worry about drug abuse... While adderall has been known to be used recreationally, I'm prescribed it so I'm not an abuser. That, and I don't even have enough money to keep filling the prescription.
I didn't mean that you'd abuse it, it's just that I'm afraid those kinds of drugs kinda mask the body's tiredness. For example, I know a guy who used to be a tax driver and he once told a story how he was really tired but he had to drive a customer to another city, so he took some pills. After driving there, he had no memories from the trip. His only memories where taking the pills and then being in the another city. Sure, he didn't get in to an accident, but who knows how he was driving.
DeleteI had a flu once but I didn't want to miss my first day of work so I took some pills and then went driving, because I felt fine. I didn't get into any accidents but there were couple of moments where I noticed my brain clearly wasn't working at 100% efficiency.
About the Captain: female input would be nice but I think you're right about women liking confidence. Though I connect confidence with a smile. Like Disney-villains' "everything is going as planned and I'm so great" -smiles/expressions. How people see confidence probably depends on personal experiences and culture though.
Responses: Woo! Terra looks totally awesome ;) I gotta say, the snake tongue would never have occurred to me, but I'm loving it, it's well cool. The green thing is actually pretty hot. I think it's the earthy shade that makes it good, I get the feeling a brighter shade wouldn't be as good, more kinda obnoxious.
ReplyDeleteOh, and while I can't give a woman's opinion, as an openly bi male, I can say that the cap looks pretty good. He's a bit feminine, but some people (including me) go for that. If you want my advice, I'd give him more defined cheekbones. All my female friends go for that, so I can say that seems popular. And maybe ease up a tad on the eyebrows, seem kinda stark. But hey, just my opinion, what you've got so far seems good. What you've got there is a classic "prettyboy", good looking, probably never worked a day in his life kinda thing. Adding a scar or more depressed (as in depressed into the face, not sad) eyes would give you a more... contract hitman look. Not saying that's a bad thing, but everyone loves a bad boy ;)
He seems muscular without being Mr. Universe - those dudes are freaky. Keep it like that, being attractive without being unattainable.
