AD3 v1.06

Just a few fixes in this current patch: feel free to pass it up as we are currently working towards a patch that adds an easier difficulty mode. That's right. It's actually coming, and it's actually easy mode.

+Added Essential Tips screen for those that suffer from TL;DR.
+Fixed the slightly too dark choices during dating.
+Polished up the writing a little.

Edit: We've retracted the half-save penalty while we investigate a possible crash. The half-save penalty should only penalize scumming, not non-intentional crashes. Now your progress is saved automatically every day starting from day 2.

    2. We've had an issue where players would click liftoff, and then have their game disappear. We've successfully resolved the issue to prevent this from happening again, but unfortunately, anyone affected by this before the fix will have to clear their browser cache to fix the problem. Save files are wiped in the process, but you can prevent that from happening before clearing your cache by going here:

We're very sorry for the inconvenience but at least it won't (or shouldn't) happen again.

    3. I cleared cache, re-added the save game, and... white screen again. Didn't have white screen when starting new before re-adding save.

Do I really need to start again :\?

    4. my sincerest apology... There's not much we can do for you then :/

In the meanwhile, maybe wait for easy mode before you feel like starting again (unless you want to start again without it).

    5. This issue does not appear to be resolved. I just got the white screen after clicking liftoff.

    6. We *believe* that if you see the white screen, this patch would make it the last time the issue occurs.

    7. You got an ETA on when easy mode comes out? I had gotten pretty far

  2. Can someone help me with Elaine? Somehow I am missing something in story 6. I have 40 strength and 33 affection, but I keep failing to generate enough affection? is there a hint I could get for what the right sequence of choices is? I've beaten every other story and this is the last one to go!

Otherwise - I LOVE this game!

    1. You're fine on stats.

There's 5 dialogue questions, and these two questions make the biggest difference.

      2. "She's only tough on you because she cares about you."
      5. "It can wait, Ensign."

It's kinda crazy how much points are riding on 2 and 5, but then again, if you read into the dialogue it makes a lot of sense.

  3. HC no! Don't tell me your selling out with adding pussy mode (now that I say it like that it doesn't sound that bad) to the game

  4. Pussy mode is a pretty good name, but it doesn't fit the PC attitude of the game. Maybe if you played as Larissa, we'd call it that, hehe.

And yeah, not really happy about lowering the difficulty. I wish I could have made true captains out of you all, but the microtransactions were necessary b/c we're a greedy faceless corporation, and now it's come to this.

You feel bad that we're selling out? I feel like I'm selling my daughter on the streets.

  5. I, on the other hand, am the customer who's more than happy to accept your daughter at full price.

  6. As am I. I paid for the game. Happily paid for it, might I add. HC and JC should be able to enjoy the ability to get some kind of monetary reward after all the work they put in. That being said, my paying for the game should not (I feel) be rewarded by tedious combat, sometimes ridiculous difficulty spikes, and endless hours of grinding for perhaps a minute or two of reward. Personally the reason I enjoy HC games in general is because of the story. It seems like he puts more emphasis on it than most games. That's what I came for, not a bash-my-head-against-the-wall-hard turn based strategy game. I work a full time job, and go to school at the same time. My free time is precious, and it's somewhat hard to look fondly on something that I paid my hard earned money on, when it rewards my time and effort with nothing but failure.

TLDR; Believe that HC and JC are right to require money for the full game, also agree that they add a lower difficulty mode.

  7. I've only started trying out the game rather recently and ran into a bug, the game gets stuck at the loading screen after finalizing everyone's assignments when the 3rd part of Olga's story is selected, never budging beyond 36.4%

I'm not too sure if this is an issue with running the game through Kimochi or some other issue on my side.

    1. Try something different and see what happens?

    2. Everything else seems to work out fine, I can do the first part of everyone else's stories and various other actions, the game just seems to get stuck loading for only that for some reason.
