1. Fix the minor bugs. I think we've got one freeze in the game, and Jeanne's hentai movie isn't showing in the correct order.
2. Work on additional content.

3. Slim down the game's size. The game is currently 30 megs. I need to slim it down to ten megabytes if I want to be able to put it on any portal sites. If I get them on portal sites, then I don't have to rely on people finding hentaicook.com to play my game.
4. Learn how to code properly. All the code you see in the game is stuff I just learned as I went.... I think the game is a trainwreck in terms of coding. I can make it better, as well as learn how to make the next game with much more gameplay.

yeah i agree with the other guy there,i think it would be a good idea do what hes saying, and just to know.when you release a new scene/character,do we lose our progress in the game?

ReplyDeleteAs far as compression goes, I have two options.
1. Externally loading pictures. This means that I have to write code, of which there's already wayyy too much code in the game (I've had to externally load basically all the dialogue, it's only 10,000+ lines of code)
2. Simply take out a bunch of missions, and have the player type in hentaicook.com. I lose the ability to integrate the same game at hentaicook.com to other websites.
3. I just came up with this right now (typing out problems really helps me)... why don't I just make a 20 kb swf, that simply opens up the other swf? idk if it's possible, but hey, if it works, holy shit that was easy.
I'm also coming across a bug at screen #2513. The next button doesn't appear, and the spacebar doesn't work either.

Yup, Renpy is great for dating sims.
ReplyDeleteActionscript is horrible for dating sims, as there's a code limit and a frame limit that I easily passed halfway through the game. Getting around those limits and then fixing the hellish errors that came afterwards was a pain.
AD2S should have been on Renpy. I think I'm actually going to make a smaller game along the size of AD1 and put it on renpy, but for AD3, I have to come back to Flash, as I'm hoping to learn AS and then make a game with a LOT of gameplay. There's a lot of things I have to figure out, so I'm trying to learn AS3 right now.

ReplyDelete2. Buy 1100 andrograde points via paypal.
3. Play AD2S.
4. Get to town, and then click UNLOCK AD2S.
5. Wait for the login to go through, (either logout or login should pop up, if not, then please wait). Once you've successfully logged in, you should see the "Logout" button.
7. Click Buy AD2S for 10$, and spend your 1100 andrograde points.
6. ???? (lol)

Some browsers want to kill all flash memory, some don't really care (and it's not their business to, seeing as flash is a third party program)
