4/14

So I got 3 hours of sleep and played board games all day at a meetup. It was fun. A newbie dungeon master ran a Star Wars campaign and did pretty bad... It was really fun seeing my old friends again.

My main achievement of the day (in an imaginary RPG): Running 10 feet, launching off of a barstool onto the bar, which was already wet with alcohol, to which I proceeded to slide across the bar, and then launch off that, vault off an ally wookie, and stab a medical syringe filled with rat blood into a Sith warrior. Except I rolled a 3, so I didn't get pass the barstool.

Got back home at 9 and passed out until 3.

3-4 Practiced drawing anime. I simply find some anime pictures I like and copy the faces usually. Plagiarism is wrong, but the very act of drawing a human is "copying", or performing what you already know. It's a complicated issue and I use to get really pissed off over fellow forum goers posting up drawings of traced porn with anime heads stuck on the top. The compromise I've made to myself is..

-Learning by copying is good, but executing a final product by copying is not
-Learning an existing style is OK, but better if you incorporate and then deviate from it.

4-5 Worked on Elaine's new face. The old one was really bugging me.

"Draw us a picture of the girl you banged!"

lol. She was attractive but not from Serenia.

5-8 Continued working on Elaine.

Perhaps Video Games can surpass Art. While Art can try to move you emotionally, art tends to be very passive. Video games allow you to introspect and then interact.

The Captain (player) in AD3 will be faced with the problem of lying to his crew. The crew believes that we're in communication with a rescue team. We're not. How do you break this to a crew? Would you continue lying? Is ignorance bliss? How would you like to spend YOUR last month alive?

  1. The girl on the left's torso looks a little weird. That curved line below her breasts is probably supposed to be the bottom of her ribcage, but it also looks like it could be a pot belly.
