.Zoe's story.

Okay! Okay. Time for me to get it out of my system.

Zoe-
Age- 24
Height- Normal (there's 3 heights in this game!)
Weight- Thick. Not fat, thick.
Cup Size- D (although I think I enlarged that. Yeah, that stat's wrong. A wise man once said: Fat chicks with small tits. There is no God.)
Personality- INFJ or INFP. I'll get back to this one.
Speaks in an abstract manner, with direct things only spoken when critical.

Zoe is a fan fiction writer (involving sex) and a gunsmith. The gunsmithing part is there to show the audience a little about guns, and to make Zoe a little cooler.

Date 1-
Zoe starts off the game as married to Jake for four years. Jake was at ground zero (the mess hall filled with aliens) on Day 0. Zoe assumes Jake is dead and is very depressed. She wishes she at least KNEW if he was actually dead. Zoe is emotionally scarred and seeks emotional support from the Captain. Good thing there's no councilor! Captain decides to help her look for him at the Mess Hall, to confirm if he is actually dead.

Date 2-
10 Day Minimum. You're at the Mess Hall… Jake’s not there. A nearby locker room stored his things. Our heroes find a note left from Jake. “Hey Zoe! Want to go to our favorite restaurant?". The note drives Zoe paranoid. She starts thinking that Jake either wrote that before the alien invasion incident, or perhaps Jake came back to this scene and wrote that. Maybe he was very cryptic about it because he didn't want the aliens to be alerted to his presence. In any case, Zoe will need to go to her favorite restaurant to see if Jake is actually there.

Date 3
Day 20 minimum. You arrive at the restaurant. Jake is nowhere to be found. Instead, we find a camera recording of Jake with a woman named Reina. Zoe has known Reina for a year and knew that Jake sometimes got along too well with Reina. In the video, however, they're deeply in love. Zoe is enraged... frenzied. She thinks of killing Reina. It makes sense. Kill Reina, and Jake stops thinking with his dick. He comes back to the woman he loves. The Captain explains to her that these thoughts are wrong. They're too instinctual. With time, shit will be clearer and things will get better.

Date 4
Day 30 minimum. Captain explains that there's plenty of fish in the sea, and asks Zoe out on a date. She accepts. They procure different firearms for the crew at a weapons locker. Zoe makes light of what she said before, but the Captain plays along and recommends her a good firearm if she ever wanted to kill Reina. Zoe takes a great deal of liking into the Captain... but for every step she takes forward, it seems that there's something wrong. She calls him pet names that obviously don't belong to him.

Date 5
Day 40 minimum. Zoe is making her transition well. She's starting to genuinely love the Captain, calling him "My Captain". She shares an erotic novel that she wrote. It's about brushing her teeth. But in a sexual manner. It would be great to have a female voice actress for Zoe. We'd have her read out loud what Zoe wrote. So it goes like "The dirty stick creamed against her gentle but firm teeth" (I'll get better! Sorry!). The scene culminates when the Captain himself is reading aloud the part of the personified toothbrush and by now, we actually have an animation of her teeth getting brushed by the Captain from a standing doggy style position.

Date 6
Day 45 minimum. Medical Officer Veronica informs the Captain that Jake and Reina have died. Their mortal wounds were inflicted by the Iacchans. The Captain decides not to tell Zoe, and to jettison the corpses to space without her knowing. Veronica agrees to this.

Date 7
Day 50 minimum (I'm betting Zoe will be the toughest character to win with). Zoe is writing a new novel. It's about the Captain. The Captain is intrigued. Zoe tells the Captain that she has a surprise for him, and the surprise may or may not be sexually related. He follows her into a dark room. Zoe spins an office chair to reveal Zoe's corpse. The imaginary Zoe disappears. Zoe sits there with a suicide gun wound to the head. A tape recorder is on her lap. When the player clicks on it, he hears Zoe's last words... "I'll always be waiting for you..." The "date" ends abruptly.

Date 8
Multiple crew members are poking fun or enjoying the new erotic novel. When Makoto comes to congratulate you on a finely written novel, Zoe accepts the compliments. Makoto talks to Zoe about the book as if she had been talking to her all along. Zoe, giddy from success, leads the Captain to her bunk. They have sex while Zoe points a pistol to the Captain's head, ending the scene by explaining the philosophical values of existential angst.

I think I'm pretty crazy for writing this. There are parallels to the recent happenings of my own life. Yep, I'm Zoe. Would Ashley be scared if she read this? I'm sure she would. The last time Zoe is actually alive is Date 4. That's actually where the parallels to my own life cease as well. The story, No, the situation of me writing this story, has parallels to the movie "Basic Instinct". In it, Sharon Stone's character is a writer that writes about how a fictional character was murdered, except in the movie, a real murder takes place that copycats Sharon's book. The scary part is that Sharon is the actual killer. She uses the book as an alibi, because why would a writer publicly write about killing someone and then carry it out in perfect detail?

It's scary to think I would release this kind of story to people, but I can justify it. It's a good story, and I honestly do think it blows away every other story the AD series has had to offer (sorry John). To modify the story in any way would be to rob it of it's artistic potential. The story represents real feelings that I've had, but they do not represent real actions that I've made or will make.

That's okay, AD1 was pretty much my first try at creating a long video game story from start to finish. I wasn't aiming for "artistic potential" so much as "comprehensible"...and, you know, "actually released". ;)

    1. Under the circumstances of "actually released" I think you did really well too. Who knew it'd be such a pain to write sex though.
