11a0- Operated a neti pot for about 20 minutes. The process was more irritating than usual, leading me to think that I should do it more habitually.
12p1- Computer maintenance.
1p2- Talked with Will over spreadsheets. Started watching Mystic River, ate last night's pizza, ordered replacement air filter (A cave dweller's environment is constantly bombarded by dust particles), drank one coca cola cup (I am attempting to wean myself from my coke addiction), worked a little on carmen
2p3- Worked on carmen.
3p3- Napped.
4p4- Working.
5p5- Still working here. Slowly. I'll finish this and get some exercise in after.
6p6- Alright, it took me long enough, but the Carmen scene's done. The scene pisses me off, lots of the time, I work on a scene until I'm satisfied with it. I ask myself what would make the scene even better, and who knows, I might even sneak a fap. This time, with this rotoscope trash, I just wanted it over with.
Mystic River's a great movie. It uses this dreary blue effect where the time of the movie is always before the sun sets; not the golden hour, but that time when the sun barely manages to come through and everything looks a little blue, a little isolated. That's all I can say without really spoiling it, it's my new fave from Clint Eastwood.
7:20p7- Internetted for half an hour, Ran outside for 50 mins, doing only 3 miles. Kind of disappointing for me because I can do better, but I'm at least satisfied that I did it, and I did it without mouth breathing, which is a big plus.
8p8- Exercised. Did not even lift.
9p9- Friend came over uninvited. Worked on ElaineGunPose for a little bit. Ate a sandwich. Started watching Chinatown with Jack Nicholas.

1a13- Getting pretty tired. I'm trying to improve my effectiveness by taking on easier responsibilities during the nighttime, and also spreading out my breaks.

In AD2 you could go to your room, and well, whack off to the previous scenes. Our new Captain is a little more devious, using a hidden camera to record his exploits. It suggests that the Captain is somewhat morally corrupt. He tries to be the good guy, but he does succumb to his needs. I'm not entirely pleased with the folder name and would appreciate suggestions. It has to be somewhere you'd put your porn. And don't worry about the computer file structure on a camera, that's intentional because in the future, memory cards are basically harddrives. The new camcorder style wins on style points over the AD2 menu. Instead of thumbnails of sex scenes, we'll have something like "terrafirsttimeanal.avi".
Self Assessment- A-. Not a particularly challenging day. I managed through it relatively stress free and healthy. I got distracted relatively little compared to other days, but my concentration can improve.

DeleteAssuming the porn is supposed to be hidden, you could go with a ridiculous approach like TOTALLYNOTPORN, or try to hide it as something innocuous but boring (like astronomical records) or otherwise unappealing. Give the space zombies and the prevalence of dead bodies, that might a plausible angle for something that nobody wants to look at but which wouldn't draw suspicion for being on a computer.

It's a little tricky. The Captain has occular implants that allow him to record the crew's exploits. The Captain can't actually store any of the information since he doesn't have the capacity to, so it's recorded elsewhere. (if he wanted to store it, he'd have to look a little more like Olga). He could possibly transmit the sex recordings onto a harddrive, but pretty much everyone knows that he has the ability to record... It's likely that the Captain assures them he is not recording, and they are more then welcome to make sure. There are at least two tech specialists that are way more savvy than the Captain is, so he wouldn't be able to pull something so obvious.
DeleteI might've jumped the gun with that HideCam labeling. I wanted the player to look at it and realize what was going on, so many clues had to be left to chime the player in on it without directly telling them. An optic camouflage mode for the hidecam could work. Any human technology that aids in war has been suppressed by the higher aliens back home, and they've already banned laser guns and some medical devices but an optic camouflage would only hide an object from the visual spectrum.
Regardless, I don't think the Captain will ever mention the Hidecam or how it works. He doesn't need to.
